Letter for the United Nations: World Peace and Global Disarmament
Dear Secretary General and all the boards of the United Nations,
We send this letter to you from North Karelia, from the Eastern Finland, where we work actively for promoting our ancestral cultures and practices in deep connection with nature as the heart of life.
We are concerned about the current world political developments, which go at the moment to the opposite direction as we would like to go. We believe, that in the heart of each human being, there is wish for the peaceful humanity all around the world.
As a serious action for peace, we call you to make the strongest visions possible for the world peace of the whole humanity. What is the greatest vision, the greatest potential of United Nations, representing the circle of the whole humanity? We call the vision of humanity without armaments, without guns, without wars. This vision must include a shared goal to disarm all nations, from inside out. All the countries together must make the same decision at the same time, that they disarm all the nations completely. Is this kind of common goal voiced out enough at the United Nations?
At the moment, in the world scene, this kind of vision of world peace with humanity without armies and polarities seems to be very far in the future. But to make this vision a reality, what we, the children of this world, strongly call for, must be voiced at all times at all levels of your decision-making processes. Please make an invocation, that you share in each meeting, to make the world peace into a common goal that must be reached.
United Nations has as its potential to simplify its bureaucratic structures and to come ever closer to people. It has as its potential to be the round table where all the nations meet in reaching the same heart of truth of being a human.
We call the United Nations to take more seriously the messages of the Elders of the indigenous tribes and the circles of grandmothers. These Elders of the indigenous cultures should be the leading figures in the United Nations, and their visions for humanity to be the shared goals of us all.
One of the practical steps towards the humanity without armed forces of violence is to create safe environments for children, where their minds are not polluted with toys and video games that include killing and guns. Adults should not pollute their minds with “entertainment” such as movies and TV programs, which include killing, violence, and guns.
Adults should take responsibility on how they cultivate the peace and harmony in their minds and in their consciousness. We call the United Nations to promote new universal education programs, that increase the peaceful mindfulness practices and meditation for the children and adults of all ages.
The most important aspect of creating peace is our relationship with nature. People with deep connection with nature are naturally peaceful, as they understand what life and Earth is about. The children and adults of all ages must have in their educational program strong emphasis on nature conservation and building deep nature-based thinking. The nature conservation is completely linked with world peace; The more we destroy nature, the less world peace there is. Please make everything you can to protect nature as the very foundation for world peace.
Thank you for your time to possibly read this letter. We are available for further cooperation, if our perspectives are welcome in further dialogues on World Peace based on global disarmament, nature conservation, and universal education at the United Nations.
